increase), and give the ability to run faster to chase down kiting characters such as spell
casters and archers. Destroyers could also use Doom Light for the +3 DEX bonus, but it
would decrease PDef, and reduce resistance to arrows and daggers minimizing their
advantages over other DD s.
Dual Swords have much more flexibility than 2-handed swords, and offer a wide selection
of SA s. The most used duals for B-Grade are Haste Duals (Dual SLS) and Focus duals
(several different sets available, varying in price and availability). The Haste duals can be
used in conjunction with high strength or high DEX, providing the wielder with a chance to
do significant damage in either situation. Plus, the Haste duals are also the highest PAtk
duals available for B-Grade, which means they stack well with high STR. The high PAtk

and haste given by Dual SLS are therefore typically used with Blue Wolf armor for
additional STR bonuses to stack with the already high damage output. Additional +STR/-
CON tattoos are also typically added to further stack bonuses. Some dual sword users,
however, choose to use Focus duals and stack their weapon bonuses with additional DEX
bonuses. In these situations Blue Wolf becomes a poor choice, as it reduces DEX
making Zubei the only good choice for Dual Users that focus on DEX.
Typically in any DD set-up +DEX tattoos can benefit the character. The DEX bonuses
stack well with all of the DD weapons (dagger, Bow, Duals, 2-hander s, and Fist weapons)
since these weapons typically critical hit very often, and suffer from low accuracy that a
high DEX helps to resolve.
2.1.2.2. A-Grade
Since A-Grade armors are designed more with PvP in mind, this aspect of the game must
be carefully considered when choosing this armor. Because heavy armor is so
troublesome for other DD s they will typically run from heavily armored characters, trying
to kite them or just drop a couple quick hits, hoping to critical. This means that most
heavily armored DD s are left to deal with tanks and/or the occasionally rooted/stunned
light-armor DD, and they are typically focused on by mages and tried to be slept and left
to be the last character to be killed. Most often, tattoos will be kept from pre-existing B-
grade set-ups, which will focus either on STR, DEX, or some combination of the two(as
detailed above). These tattoos typically leave heavy armor DD s with reduced HP, and no
A-Grade provides HP which means that some DD s actually have less HP in A-Grade
than B-Grade, which will still work well for a DD set-up, but it s important to remember.
Dark Crystal armor is typically eliminated as a choice for a heavy armor DD because of
the useless shield bonus and STR/+CON. The reduced chance of paralysis is an
excellent bonus for hunting raid mobs and some PvE, but as mentioned above, that s not
what A-Grade gear is all about. Basically this armor is discarded for the same reasons
that most heavy armor DD s don t wear Avadon or Doom.
Nightmare armor is another choice that is typically eliminated. Again, the shield bonus is
not applicable. The DEX/+CON bonus is also the exact opposite of what DD s desire.
The resistance to being slept or held is a great bonus for this armor. However, even if a
heavy armor DD isn t held he can still be easily kited, so things like root that allows people
with ranged attacks to be more effective don t have as much of an impact as many would
think, and sleep can quickly be removed in a conscientious group PvP by a teammate. So
really, this armor doesn t help win any battles for the DD, it just makes loosing battles take
a bit longer.

Equipping Characters for Every Battle
The remaining choices of Majestic and Tallum armors are both good choices for heavy
armor DD s. Both sets give +STR/-CON and both sets give +PAtk bonuses that stack with
the typical high STR of this style of character, although the Tallum bonus is twice what the
Majestic provides. Realistically +weight gauge bonus isn t particularly useful. However, the
+3% accuracy bonus is very useful when fighting dagger users with high evasion and
using weapons with low accuracy such as dual swords and 2-handed swords. In the
